Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 May 2026
Who we are
GoFilm is a cinema discovery service provided by GoFilm (the “Service”). These Terms govern your use of the Service, whether on the web or via the GoFilm iOS app.
By using GoFilm, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
What GoFilm does
GoFilm shows you what’s on at cinemas across the UK, with film ratings, certificates, and booking links. We aggregate showtime data from publicly available sources (cinema websites, booking platforms, public APIs) and present it in one place.
We are not affiliated with any cinema chain. We don’t sell tickets directly — when you book, you book through the cinema’s own booking system, which we link to from the app.
Your account
You can use GoFilm as a Guest (no sign-in) or as a Member (sign in with Apple or email). Member accounts let us remember your watchlist, alerts, and preferences across devices.
You’re responsible for:
- Keeping your sign-in details secure
- Any activity that happens through your account
- Making sure the email address on your account is one you control
You may delete your account at any time via the Account screen. Deletion is permanent and immediate.
Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use GoFilm to break the law or anyone’s rights
- Try to access other people’s accounts
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Service (we built this for individual cinema-goers, not for resellers)
- Probe, scan, or test the Service for vulnerabilities without our written permission
- Use the Service to send spam, malware, or other harmful content
- Reverse-engineer the iOS app beyond what UK law permits
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Accuracy of cinema data
We do our best to keep showtime data accurate and up to date. Cinemas change their listings, sometimes at short notice, and occasionally our data sources are wrong or delayed.
If not booking through GoFilm, please confirm showtimes with the cinema before travelling. When you book via a link in the app, you’re transacting with the cinema directly — we’re not party to that transaction.
We don’t guarantee that any showtime, price, certificate, rating, or other film information is correct, complete, or current.
No warranty
The Service is provided “as is.” We don’t warrant that it will be available without interruption, free of errors, or fit for any specific purpose.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, GoFilm and its operators are not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience you suffer from using the Service or from relying on its data. This includes (but isn’t limited to) travel costs, missed showings, or ticket booking issues at the cinema.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can’t be limited by UK law.
Intellectual property
GoFilm’s branding, app, and code are owned by us. Film posters, titles, ratings, and showtime data are owned by their respective rights holders — we display them for the public-facing purpose of letting you find films to watch.
If you believe content on GoFilm infringes your rights, contact us at copyright@balsham.cloud.
Termination
You can stop using GoFilm any time and delete your account from the Account screen.
We can suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if we’re required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service.
Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes to these Terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and notify Members via email. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
